Dear parents and carers,
The Department for Education has announced changes to relationships and sex education (RSE).
These changes will come into effect from September 2020 and all schools will be required to comply with the updated requirements.
This means that we’ll be reviewing our RSE curriculum and policy so that we can be sure our RSE provision is appropriate for our pupils based on their:
- Physical and emotional maturity
- Religious and cultural backgrounds
- Special educational needs and disabilities
Here’s how you can help:
We need your feedback to help us do this.
A consultation document for you to read through is attached in the links, together with the draft updated RSE Policy.
Any questions or concerns you have can be emailed to [email protected] with ‘RSE Policy’ in the subject heading. There are question prompts in the parent consultation document to help you.
The deadline for feedback is Friday 26 June 2020
Thank you for your time.
