One of our students in year 8 has been creating a comic over the last few weeks for everyone to read. It is about a virus that morphs into a Hybrid. Parts 1 and 2 are below and Part 3 will be coming soon. Well Done!
Here are some fantastic examples of work and comments that Bensham Manor students have been doing during the lockdown and sharing with us. They have bought lots of smiles and joy for us during this time. We are so proud of our student’s attitudes and achievements during lockdown. We thought it would be really lovely to share with the Bensham Manor School community. We would also like to thank parents who have been working very hard at home and doing a fantastic job home-schooling. We hope to see you all back at school very soon.
Excellent Rhyming shown here.
A year 8’s lovely warm poem
When This is over
When this is over I would like to go to school
Or maybe I would like to swim in the pool
I would like to play with my cousin peace
Or hop on a plane to New York
I would like to play in the sunshine
And have a fun time
When this lockdown is over
I will wonder
What I will do with my friends.
I HATE living life in lockdown
No work, no school, no play
I want to SCREEEAAAM at the top of my voice
EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!
I miss my friends and teacher Helen
Bananas are great but… I HATE MELON
I avoid it at all costs
Here’s a message to coronavirus…GET LOST!
Written by a year 8 student
A year 9 student’s poem – we all loved this.
My Coronavirus Lockdown experience
I miss going to school
I miss my friends and the teachers
So this Coronavirus has caused all these
But I have planted seeds
I have cared for them
I have watered them and letting them get the sun
They are growing big
This Coronavirus has taught me to always wash my hands
Stay home and save lives
Oh dear, so many people are dying
But I have learnt to say thank you to the NHS by clapping for the doctors and nurses
Staying home has been fun because I do PE with Joe on YouTube to make me strong and healthy.
A Year 10’s clever lockdown poem – clearly missing everyone.
When this is over
O how I cannot wait for the lockdown to be over.
To see all my friends and classmates.
Oh I will gladly say hello to everyone, ask them how they are.
With a big big smile on my face welcoming them back.
Oh how I missed my friends.
Would I scream or give them a hug
To show how glad we are all to be back and see each other.
How I dream to be back at school.
Oh what a long days the lockdown has been.
Long queues at shops just to buy things.
Oh the time I would be back and playing football with my friends.
Oh what a wonderful life that would be
Going back to school and being together with my friends.
When this is over
A year 10 student’s heartfelt poem
Catch up with my mates and have a talk
Or even have a little walk
Go to the zoo with my crew
Get a job become a wrighter
OR even become so fighter
I can’t go to school
Wich is cool
I miss all my freinds
But I get loads of trends
Mabye go to star bucks
And get 2 hole cups
Play football with my mates
OR have some.cakes
Mabye go to the cinema
And see some one familiar
Mabye be some one famouse
Or do a stunt that is Dangerous
